Gotten only one speeding ticket. 
Been in love twice.
Owned three cars.
Received a B.A. after four years of college
Got my first tattoo five years ago
Learned how to ride a bike sans training wheels at age six
Met my baby brother at age seven
Have known my best friend for eight years
Grown into a size nine (and a half) shoe
Learned that ten martinis in one night is six too many
Lost eleven pairs of sunglasses (probably more)
Put in my first pair of contacts at twelve and never looked back.
Had my first drink at thirteen.
Figured out I probably liked girls at fourteen (but didn’t tell anyone til I was eighteen). 
Flew for the first time across the country by myself and turned sixteen in California.
Directed my first play at seventeen.
Got my second tattoo on my nineteenth birthday.
Quit smoking when I turned twenty.
Turned twenty-one in Washington, D.C.
Was a college graduate at twenty-two.

And today I am officially twenty-three.
